This brass Snake Goddess statuette is based on ancient Minoan figurines discovered at Knossos on Crete (circa 1700-1450BCE). The serpent is often considered a symbol of renewal and rebirth because of the shedding of it's skin and has historicaly represented protection in many cultures as well. She stand approximately 1 3/4" tall.
