Buckeye

With their dark surface and a white patch buckeyes are reminiscent of the eye of a buck deer. They are often added to conjure bags or carried as pocket pieces for good luck and protection. An old-school way of working a buckeye for luck involves occasionally rubbing the seed on your nose and using the natural oils from your body to dress it for luck. Additionally, as with many seeds and nuts, buckeyes are carried for protection against the evil eye.
