Caridad del Cobre Statue

The Caridad del Cobre is the Virgin of Charity whose holy image appeared to three brothers caught in a storm of the coast of El Cobre, Cuba. After praying to the Virgin, the storm calmed, and they found a statue of the Virgin, miraculously dry, floating in the sea. 

In Santeria, Caridad del Cobre is syncretized with the orisha Oshun, the goddess of femininity, fertility and love.
